The  commercial letting or renting of church manses to organisations and individuals other than the local minister is becoming increasingly prevalent. It is very important that you advise the Church of Scotland Insurance Company Ltd ( COSIC) as soon as possible if you are considering taking this option as it does affect your insurance cover.

Employers Liability Tracing Organisation (ELTO)

ELTO is a new independent industry body which has been set up to make it easier for injured employees to trace their employer’s EL insurers where they are suffering from a disease or injury caused at work. Given the long-tail nature of EL insurance, sometimes by the time the claim arises, it can be difficult to determine who the EL insurers were.
