Making a Claim (Church Scheme)

You can contact us to make a claim on your Church Scheme policy in a number of ways:

By Phone:

This is the number if you want to report a new claim (or find out what is happening on an existing claim) during office hours. You will speak with one of our dedicated team at the Church of Scotland Insurance Services Ltd.

Claims Service Out of Hours:

Major losses are handled by our partner loss adjuster Sedgwick (formerly Cunningham Lindsey) who should be contacted outside normal business hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday) on the following numbers to report new major losses.  Please state clearly that you are calling in connection with a Church of Scotland Insurance Scheme claim, since this should ensure that you speak to the right person.

For major Fire, Lightning or Explosion damage to Church, church hall and other church buildings insured under Section I of your policy, please call 0345 604 8580.

For any major material damage loss that cannot wait until normal business hours, please call 0800 015 1498. You may be asked to quote the scheme policy number, which is 24998892 CHC.

This service operates 24 hours, 365 days a year.  Please have your church scheme reference available (it is in the style of “M0001”).  You will find it in the top right hand corner of your policy schedule.

Please send us an e-mail to claims@cosic.co.uk with details of your claim. There is a claim form on our website at this link which you can download, save, complete, and send to us with your e-mail. Once we have received your notification we will be in touch with you quickly to let you know what the next steps are.
