£20 Donation to Your Congregation
When you take out a policy on the Church of Scotland Home Scheme we will donate £20 to your Congregation.
Cover Tailored to Your Needs
Cover benefits at a glance:
- Automatic cover for up to £500,000 buildings and £60,000 contents
- Accidental loss or damage to TV and entertainment systems in the home as standard
- Personal money and credit card cover
- Portable possessions away from home
- Personal and occupant liability cover
- Gifts and family celebration cover - 20% uplift in contents cover. For example to cover wedding or Christmas presents
- Up to £15,000 cover for your ministry and business equipment such as computers and printers and communion sets
- Cover is also available for e.g. using your laptop away from home, perhaps in your office at the church (although it may not be left there but taken home with you)
- No deduction for wear and tear for claims for clergy robes, vestments, all other clothing and household linen
Personal belongings includes property owned or used for church business purposes
£5,000 guests personal belongings cover includes the personal belongings of visitors to the home (per claim)
Optional Covers
Flexibility is provided by offering a range of optional extensions which can be selected as required. For example you can extend the standard cover to include accidental damage and also take out cover for your touring caravan or boat.
Instalments
The premium can be paid by monthly instalments if you wish. An instalment form is available from us should you wish to pay the premiums this way, and we will make the necessary arrangements with your bank or building society.

Gift Aid
Any and all profits made by the Church of Scotland Insurance Company Ltd (COSIC) are returned to the Church of Scotland in Gift Aid so you can be assured that by insuring through COSIC you are also contributing to the wider well being of the Church.
