If you wish to report a new claim out of hours please ring this number. The service is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You will speak with a service provided by our partner insurer Ecclesiastical.
Advice Centre: 0117 934 2104
All Home policyholders with the Church of Scotland Insurance Company Ltd (COSIC) Scheme are able to benefit from an advice centre which is open 24 hours a day every day of the year as part of your policy cover. If you call this number please have your policy number available. The service is provided by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Ltd and covers the following areas:
- Eurolaw legal advice: For any personal legal problem under the laws of the member countries of the European Union, the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Switzerland and Norway
- Tax advice: Confidential advice over the phone on personal tax matters.
- Health and medical information: Health & Fitness and non-diagnostic advice over the phone on medical matters.
For the following services you are responsible for paying any costs for the help provided, but if the damage or costs are covered under your Home Scheme Policy you will be able to make a claim to recover your outlays in the normal way. With the exception of the Emergency Glass Replacement Service, these services are run by DAS.
Domestic Emergency Assistance: 0117 934 2104
Call this helpline if you need assistance with a domestic emergency such as a burst pipe, blocked drain, or similar event.
Veterinary Assistance: 0117 934 2104
If your pet is injured this service can help you find a vet who can offer treatment.
Childcare Assistance: 0117 934 2104
DAS can arrange help following an emergency if your regular childminder cannot attend or if you have to leave children at home unexpectedly.
Counselling Service Helpline: 0117 934 2121
This is a confidential counselling service over the phone including where appropriate onward referral to relevant or professional services.
Emergency Glass Replacement: 0800 47 47 47
This service is provided by Solaglas. If you are insured against breakage of glass, a free call to Solaglas will allow you to arrange replacement. The cost will be paid by your insurer direct to Solaglas but you pay any excess.
